hey you!

Hellooooo world. :)

It's been too long.
Last update was like 2 months ago.
Not gonna continue my Taiwan story.
But I'm sure I be back there soon.

Here's a new chapter:
Once again, I just love travelling.
Even just the word can get me excited.
It's not that I've been travelling but I'm planning a solo trip.
Wanna take a trip somewhere next year.

So when you travel, you'll probably gonna make a trip to the airport somewhere to get somewhere else.
I'mma tell you about my love for airports.
I love airports as Goodbyes meet Hellos & vice versa.
I'm usually excited when I step into the airport even though I ain't taking a trip to nowhere.

It's just fun to witness the different feelings we have.
An airport is a place full of both happiness & sadness.
You're sad to see someone go; for days, months or even years.
And when they're back you're as happy as you can be.

I just can't put them down into words; the 'thing' I have for airports.
But I just simply love them.

***
I don't know why I wanna be someone else badly right now.

i miss you

Yo.
Hello world.
It feels so long since I last posted.
And of course it's been so long.

I've been to the Taiwan fieldtrip and just got back days ago.
I gotta tell you that it's awesome.
And right now, I'm seriously missing all those days.
From being on the opposite side of the road, the weather, the early sunrise/sunset,
the way they speak Engrish and everything lah.
Got so use to the routine and suddenly, everything has to end.
It seems like the whole week passed superr fast.
I wish that I could rewind to last week while I'm still there.

So now I'm left with less than a week to the re-examinations.
I have yet to study cause I'm tied down with coursework.
Wished that I have finished them way earlier.
Boohoo.

Ok. My intentions now is not to complain about the not-holiday-but-holiday thingy
but I'm here to tell you guys about the trip.
Yes, Taiwan.
Hehe.
So gear up cause it's gonna be quite a long post ahead k.

Day 1:
Got up early. Around 5 I guess to get ready to go to the airport. The night before
slept around 2 doing last minute packing. Hehe
So I practically only got like 3 hrs of sleep.
Was kinda late arriving at the airport. Checked-in and stuff.
Found out that our flight to HK was delayed. -_-
After half an hour I guess we got on the plane and we're on our way to HK.

Since we arrived later than expected in HK, we missed the flight to Taipei.
And that's when we got kinda 'stranded' in HK.
We got no choice but to catch the next flight which is at 6pm.
It simply means that we have to waitwaitwait for like 3hrs.
-______-
Luckily Cathay compensated us by issuing us meal vouchers.
We were hungry so we searched for a halal restaurant.
Popeyes was the only one.
Woohoo.
I haven't even tried the one in Singapore and here I am enjoying them in HK.
Not bad eh!
After that we still got more than HK$100 worth of coupons so we decided
to buy Starbucks.

We were so tamak that we decided to buy large drinks, a cake and 3 biscuits. End up we
finished only half of our drinks and we threw the rest.
Nvm lah.
Not our money whatt.

So by 6pm plus we're on our way to Taipei.
By 8pm plus we've finally arrived at our final destination.
Ohya, btw, the airplane from HK to Taipei was the latest version I guess.
It's the best plane on this trip so far.
I love their playlist.
They got everything from the latest albums to even K-pop ones.
I was so excited to see 2NE1's album. Haha.

So finally arrived at the airport.
Met our tour guide.
Mr Yun's the name yaw.
He told us he waited for 7 hours.
Pity him.
But what to do.
We waited for the coach and it took us to our hostel.
That was also the first time I feel the night breeze.
And I love it.

Day 2:
Woke up early. Falah was my room mate btw. She's the first to wake up everytime.
For the rest of the days, even though I set the alarm, she is always the first person to wake up
and wake me up.
Haha. I always snooze my alarm and get back under my blanket.
Hehe.
So back to the story.
Yeah, I was shocked that the sun was almost all the way up even though I know that
the have early sunrise.

There, it is literally 9 in the afternoon.
By 9am, it's already like noon here.

Anyways, had breakfast.
Had sandwich and bubble tea.
I didn't even finish the sandwich.
Sorry to say but it's kinda disgusting. Haha.
There's like a prata thingy inside and corn and some other stuff.
It's triple layer summore.
The bubble tea was nice.

So our first destination is the Yehliu Geopark.
It's a 2 hour journey from Taipei.
That's the day when our 'nap session' in the coach started.
Since then, every journey seems long and there's always ample time
for our naps.

The geopark was amazing. The natural rock formation was awesome.
I think I was gaping at them the first time I lay my eyes on them.
Haha.
By then I know that Taiwan is hot and dry like SG but it seems like it's always air-conditioned.

We then had packed lunch in the bus.
And we're on the way to Toucheng Farm.

In the afternoon, we arrived at the farm.
I totally loved the farm!
We checked in into the accomodation.
We were literally jumping when we saw the place.
It has a Jap home theme.
It's totally cool!
I must say that I love it more than the hostel.
Khairunnisa, Anusha and Nisa were my room mate only for that night.

Later, we toured the farm.
It was huge manszx.
I love the serenity there.
It's totally something different.

We bbq-ed for dinner and later on we made tian dian.
It's a traditional lantern.
We made them from scratch and we wrote our wishes on it.
We then let it fly into the night sky.
There were even fireworks.
I really miss that night.
It was just amazing.

Had a de-briefing session and lights off!

Day 3;
As usual, I was the last one to wake up.
Planned to wake up around 0430 to catch the sunrise but only Khairunnisa woke up.
Haha! Sorry.

Had breakfast and soon after we load our bags onto the coach.
We carried out an experiment on the nearby river.

Next, we visited a hotspring.
It wasn't a natural one but it's still one.
I hesitated to put my foot in at first.
Firstly cause I'm wearing my boot and secondly I'm scared cause it's really hot.
But after seeing the others enjoying it, I put my foot in.
It was really hot but after a while it's soothing.
My foot felt lighter after that.

Ok. So had lunch somewhere. I forgot. In the bus I think.
And another journey starts.
A 3 hour journey to Taroko Gorge.

The view there was just stunning. I can't really describe it in words.
Even pictures won't do justice to it.
You gotta see it to believe it.
It was worth the journey; after all the twist and turns.

After that head to Hua Lien for our next accomodation.
It's the Lige Hotel.
It's 4 or 5 stars. Idk.
I would give it a 5.
I love the signboard with our school name on.
It shows that we are welcomed!

Before that had dinner. It was a local vegetarian noodle.
It wasn't vegetarian actually.
But they made it vegetarian specially for us.
I enjoyed it.
The rest don't like it.
Haha.

So again had a de-briefing session.
Washed up and watched I Not Stupid.
Ohya, Falah was my room mate again since then.
That night I got irritated with a 7 - 11 ad.
It's a sausage with cheesee. I swear that ad made me craved for a hotdog.
Haha.

Blah, blah and lights off!

Day 4:
Had a buffet breakfast but sadly, we could only have toast and salad.
The rest ............

We then bid farewell to the hotel and visited the Seven Star Lake.
It was a beach actually.
I forgot why it's called a lake.
-_-
Did some geography thingy on the beach and we're gone.

We head back to Taipei.
It took us 3 1/2 hours I think.
On the way stopped by Carrefour to purchase food for lunch.

They couldn't find a halal restaurant so we had to buy stuffs from there.
I remembered I bought croissants, choc milk, egg tart and some other stuffs lah.
And that's our lunch.

So napped most of the journey.
It's just so tiring.
Finally, we reached Taipei and the Danshui Mangrove.
It's a mangrove in a middle of a busy city.
Unbelievable eh.
Fortunately, we do not need to see the mangroves.
It started to rain when we're halfway there.
We turned back and we're back on the coach again.

Had Carrefour food dinner and we visited the Fisherman's Wharf.
It's a bridge and it's said that it was a a shooting scene of a local drama.
I must say that it's a romantic place.
It was peaceful too.

That's where I started to feel homesick.
Miss everything back home.
Decided to call home later but changed my mind.
We ended quite late and it's not often that you get a week off manxzs.
And I remembered me and Anusha ran down that flight of stairs.
We were shouting all the way.
Haha.
Like small kids.

Later, we head to Shih Lin Night Market.
Shopping time!
It looks a bit like Geylang Pasar.
Haha.
And the smell was kinda unpleasant.
 Lol

I didn't bought anything except for a drink.
I love their chin chow there.
It's bigger compared to here and it's yummy!
The rest bought something I think. Idk.

Back to hostel and de-brief. And lights off.
What a long day!

Day 5:
I must say that today was one of the least interesting day.

So had breakfast. It's the sandwich again I think.
Then visited AVON.
We got to see their sort of factory.
Cool but I definitely wouldn't wanna work there.

Then had lunch at a halal restaurant.
After days of packed lunch and junk food, it was a relief!
The food tasted something local and the ayam was sedap!
We really enjoyed lunch!

Then we went to take a ride on the High Speed Train.
I thought it was as fast as the bullet train. -_-
Haha.
It wasn't that fast lah.
It was only a 7 min ride to the next station.

Next, we head to Hsin Chu. That's where we visited the Black Bat Squadron
Museum. It's about history.
We met this pilot who went through the mission like yearsyears ago.

Then had dinner at the same restaurant.
It was a beef noodle.
Each one of us got a bowl.
We couldn't finish it.
It's just too much.

And the night market was cancelled. So, hostel and had a longgg de-brief.
Then washed up and lights off!

(Still got 2 days worth of reflections. Just forget about reading them if you can't take it anymore.)

Day 6:
It's our last day.
Not officially the last one but it's the last day we're going out and about.

Had breakfast and head to Yangmingshan National Park.
We saw a volcanoe right in front of our eyes.
And the whole place reek of sulfur!
Trekked a bit and it started to rain.
Lunch.

Next stop: C.K.S Memorial Hall and Z.L.C.
We saw the guard exchange ceremony.
It was cool.
By then it's almost dinner time.
So had dinner on the bus.
And it's shopping time!

It's called Wu Feng Pu. It's so similar to Bugis.
Once again, i don't know what to buy.
Just bought myself a cargo pants.
Lol

Then it's back to the hostel.
On the way back, they k-boxed on the bus.
It was hilarious.
And fun!
At the hostel celebrated Fazz's b'dae.
Everyone was in high spirits.
All so happy.

No de-brief so washed up and stay awake till 2 plus.
We sneaked to Anusha's room and we watched the first WC match and gossiped.
Haha.
Sneaked back to our room and zzzzzz.
I remembered Azmee calling just to chat cause he can't sleep.
-_-
I was half listening to his blahblahblah.
Lol! Sorry bro!

Ok! I'm gonna stop here for the moment.
I'll continue the last day's story on my next post k.
My finger's gonna break soon and I got F&N tmr.
So nytes world.
